Just over 2 years ago, the idea of the first craft beer festival in DFW began, yet here we are coming up on the 3rd annual North Texas Beer Week, which happens November 9-16, 2013. This year, previous Houston-based Dallas Beer Week owners handed over the reigns to a local DFW-based board of directors to operate and maintain this year’s festivities.
That’s where Texas Brewvolution comes in. We knew a proper kickoff festival was needed to showcase as many Texas brewers as possible. Two years ago, we wouldn’t have had enough brewers to fill the room. This year, we expect 25+ Texas-based breweries to participate in Texas Brewvolution, alongside a handful of other world-class brewers we’ve hand-selected whom we know will bring some very special beers for you to enjoy.
Standing alongside these brewers will be local artisanal food vendors (food trucks!), local craft makers with wares on hand for purchase, and a host of other businesses from our area. We will also have music throughout the day on an outdoor stage in our food and music pavilion.
We’ve really enjoyed not only donating to the North Texas Food Bank, but volunteering at their facility these past 2 years. As a result, we’ve chosen them as our charitable organization to receive a portion of the proceeds from Texas Brewvolution as well. Besides, who doesn’t love a charity that uses 93 cents of every dollar donated, directly for their cause?
Thanks to people like you (yeah, you, the one who’s reading this!) we’re able to have amazing events like this one. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday, and hope you’ll join us to kick off this celebration of craft beer in Texas.
